New Movie Release – The Eagle

Posted by admin On March - 23 - 2011

This Friday 25th March 2011 sees the long awaited release date of The Eagle. The Eagle has been highly anticipated by critics and the public. It looks certain to please action packed, thriller lovers; not forgetting history boffs. The storyline and A-List cast look to please the rest of us though. So here is a brief synopsis of what it’s all about. It is released in all major cinemas 25/03/2011.

PLOT

20 years earlier, Rome‘s 5,000–strong Ninth Legion, under the command of Flavius Aquila, marched north carrying their treasured golden Eagle emblem. They never returned; Legion and Eagle simply vanished into the mists. Hearing a rumor that the Eagle has been seen in a tribal temple in the far north, Flavius‘ son Marcus (Tatum), determined to restore the tarnished reputation of his father, is galvanized into action. Accompanied only by his slave Esca (Bell), Marcus sets out into the vast and dangerous highlands of Scotland – to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father‘s memory, and retrieve the hallowed Eagle. Along the way Marcus realizes that the mystery of his father‘s disappearance may well be linked to the secret of his own slave‘s identity and loyalty – a secret all the more pressing when the two come face–to–face with the warriors of the fearsome Seal Prince (Tahar Rahim).

BT Vision+ HD Box Review

Posted by admin On February - 26 - 2010

The new BT Vision V+ boxold BT Vision V+ boxThe Original BT Vision+ box was replaced in December 09 with a unit in black. The unit is installed by you and there is no need to have an engineer fit it to your TV setup.

The box is connected via an ethernet cable to a BT Broadband enabled hub and  is then paired with your home hub and activated by BT before you are able to use BT Vision.

The unit gets digital TV signals over-the-air, so needs a TV aerial. A connection to an aerial input socket is required to the V-Box. There is an output RF aerial socket to allow you to connect to a TV. SCART and HDMI leads can also be used. An additional SCART socket is available to connect to a video or DVD recorder.

The energy efficient second-generation boxes will have the same basic functions, providing access to up to 40 Freeview TV channels and 30 radio channels as well as on-demand access to films, TV shows, music videos and sport. They will also enable users to record around 80 hours of content. The new black Vision box does not have a modulated output so consider an AV Sender if you want to connect to a TV in a second room.
